I took many images like this for my front cover. I tried to portray the other band images I have seen. however i don't think it was a success. I don think the photograph had a professional look. Firstly, I didnt think the use of long shot worked as to much was in the shot. I tried cropping the image, but this didn't seem to improve it. I think the use of a group makes the image harder to capture as you have to create an atmosphere with the people to create the look of "closeness." I tried cropping the two people out, leaving one person on there own. Although this wasn't the best shot, it was an improvement.
Therefore I thought it would be best to have a re-shoot, with just one person in order to crate one very strong and focused front cover image.
Although this picture looks better, it gives the look of an inside image of the magazine.I might use this for a front cover of an album featured in the magazine.
